Bob Green earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University. As a co-op student, he worked at Hewlett-Packard’s medical electronics division in Boston and developed an interest in electronics for patient care applications. Following his undergraduate experiences, Bob obtained a master’s degree in electrical engineering with a specialty in Clinical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He was awarded a public health scholarship to matriculate through the program. His first job was as a Clinical Engineer at the Cleveland Veterans Administration Hospital where he supported the special care facilities, designed some care units, and provided equipment to spinal cord injured veterans.
Bob left the hospital environment and began a career as a product line manager for Keithley Instruments. He had worldwide responsibility for some research instrumentation and instrumentation for the mobile phone market. His work led to travel all over the world including Scandinavia, western Europe, Israel, Brazil, and China. Once in England, he had the good fortune to meet with a physics professor on the day that he was informed that he had won the Nobel Prize in Physics.
While at Keithley, Bob worked with Joel Goldstein, who provided PR services for Keithley and encouraged Bob to write articles promoting his technology and products. After leaving Keithley, Bob began to write articles for Goldsten Group Communications to support some of the company’s clients. He is now a full-fledged member of the GGC team.
Bob boasts of a wonderful, symmetric family. He has a lovely wife, two beautiful daughters, two handsome sons-in-law, and four fantastic grandchildren. To complete the symmetry, each family has a boy and a girl.
